Kyung Hee University is accepting applications for the TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) Incentive Scholarship for semester 2 (round 1) of the 2026 academic year. It is open to enrolled foreign undergraduate students at the Seoul Campus. The scholarship is called the Foreign Student TOPIK Incentive Scholarship (Academic Support Fund). It is paid separately from tuition, and the notice states that it can be received even when it exceeds the tuition amount.

The scholarship is divided by when the TOPIK level was obtained, and it is transferred to the student's personal bank account. Payment is scheduled for the end of October 2026. For students in years 1-2 (semesters 1-4), early acquisition is 800,000 KRW (a basic amount of 500,000 KRW plus an incentive of 300,000 KRW). For students in years 3-4 (semester 5 or later), general acquisition is 500,000 KRW. A student who has already received the scholarship and applies after raising the level during a regular semester receives 500,000 KRW. The table includes the condition 'paid to first-time recipients only', but it is not clear which item this applies to. Please check the original notice.

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following conditions. First, they must be foreign students in the Korean track who are enrolled in a regular undergraduate semester at the Seoul Campus in semester 2 of the 2026 academic year. Second, they must hold TOPIK Level 4 or higher, and the score validity period must not have expired on the application deadline. A student who has already received this scholarship may apply only if the level is higher than before. The scholarship can be received only once for the same level, and once per semester, up to 3 times in total.

Applicants must also meet the on-campus scholarship standards set by the university's scholarship regulations. They must have earned at least 12 credits in the previous semester and have a grade point average of at least 2.0. This grade standard does not apply to new students and transfer students who have no previous semester record. Students on deferred graduation, students who have completed coursework without graduating, and students on leave of absence are excluded. Applicants must not have received Admission Scholarship B, Admission Scholarship C, or the Government-Invited Foreign Student Scholarship at the time of admission.

To apply, prepare the required documents and send them to the email address given in the notice. The application period is from September 28, 2026 to October 11, 2026. It will not be extended, so applications must be submitted within the deadline. Write the email subject in the format 'TOPIK Incentive Scholarship Application (student ID_English full name)', and name the submitted files 'student ID_English full name' as well. The required documents are the application form, a scanned copy of the TOPIK score report, and a copy of the bank account book, 1 of each.
